My son have scoliosis, and we noticed it when he was 5years old. The doctor advised for physiotherapy. We went on with therapy, but still the curve was increasing so brace was made according to doctor’s advised. As he grew up the brace became small for his size and his scoliosis increased from 18 degree at the beginning to 58 degree. He had difficulty in sitting, walking, and playing around including back pain with burning sensation on his feet and ears. So after the pandemic we went to ISIC hospital for another checkup, there we met Dr Rajat Mahajan the spine surgeon. When we consulted him he advised us for surgery due to the severe curvature of the spine. After considering with my family we decided to go on with surgery. It was a tough decision. On 23 June 2022, the surgery was done by him and his team. I am so pleased with them. They care so much for my son. His condition was progressive day by day. From the second day after the surgery Dr. Rajat sir himself help him to walk during our stayed in the hospital. The doctors, nurses, helpers all of them are so kind to us. Now, after the surgery, he can stand straight, his difficulty in sitting, standing had reduced. The burning sensation of his feet and ears had also reduced. I was suffering from lower back pain and soreness in my right leg for quite a long period, even walking seemed like a really big thing at that time .I consulted my different doctors and it turned out that i have a fracture in my L4 & L5 and surgery was the last option. My niece is undergoing treatment with Dr. Rajat at ISIC. She was suffering from congenital scoliosis which resulted in a curve of more than 120° at age 7. She was having a hard time as it already started affecting her organs including lungs and hearts which developed respiratory problems. But after her treatment started at ISIC, we are having high hopes for her as she has already undergone halo traction and one growth rode surgery by Dr. Rajat. He curve is at around 50° now and she has improved in all the parameters. We are very thankful for the proper treatment guidance which we received. I Ravinder Nath Singh was suffering from back pain since last 4 years and with MRI at Wockhardt Hospital Mumbai, it was Diagnosed that Spinal nerve at S4 and S5 are pressed with side bones and Surgery is only option. Many of the relative suggested that u bear with pain rather to opt for Spinal Surgery.But when life became burden ,I decided to go ahead with Surgery. On my second appointment,I asked Dr.Rajat Mahajan Sir about my recovery after operation.He assured me that you will able to walk on 3rd day of operation itself. This was wonder for me and immediately I opted for Operation. As assured by Dr Sahab,I was able to walk without any support.After less than a weak time ,i was discharged from the Hospital and recovering very well at Home with schedule for one hour walking alongwith other exercises guided by Dr.Rajat Mahajan Sir and the Hospital Team. I had got my mother's spine treatment by Dr Rajat Mahajan at Indian spinal injuries center, New Delhi on 27 july 2022 and I'm writing this feedback after nearly three and half months from the date of operation I.e. 27 july 2022 (In the mean time I had observed condition of My mother post operation). I will try to give feedback comprising following details:- 1. What was the problem 2. Which Dr performed the operation and some other details (Admission, operation & next day subsequent to operation day) 3. Condition of patient as of now. What was the problem: My mother had high swelling, pain & burning short problem in both leg, for the last 1.5 yrs. She had stopped walking even for continuous 100 mtr. 1st Meeting With Dr Rajat Mahajan : when I & My Mother had met Dr Rajat Mahajan first time (10 days before the surgery) he had carefully observed the condition, gone through the reports. And finally said that he will do Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) Back Surgery and further informed that after the surgery My Mother will get rid off from exisiting swelling, Pain & Burning sensation. Admission and Operation : Since ISIC, is preferred by many spinal patient, the hospital was having no vacant bed in private ward, on the day we reached for treatment. Dr Rajat Mahajan personally called receptionist and directed them to admit my mother in general ward till privet ward gets vacant, so that requisite tests can be started without any waste of time. Next day i.e.on 27 July 2022, Dr Rajat Mahajan performed operation for about 3.5 to 4 Hrs. After the surgery Dr Mahajan briefed me about operation and showed me X-ray film of my mother's spine, reflecting cage, screw and rod. He further informed me that operation went very well and he is expecting fast recovery. Next Day subsequent to Operation day : Dr Rajat Mahajan came to see My mother and made her walk for about 100 Mtrs. I enquired from My mother How is she feeling now? My Mother stated that she is not feeling any previously existing pain. Dr Rajat Mahajan looked to reports and stated that He will discharge her after 5 days. Present condition of Patient: thanks to Dr Rajat Mahajan and almighty God, .My mother is able to walk without any pain, burning sensation, swelling....Etc.Now, She takes morning walks of about 3- 4KM daily MY personal recommendation about Dr Rajat Mahajan : Dr Rajat Mahajan is well experienced and supportive to his patients.I recommend all the spine patients to at least once meet him and take his advice.
